Harry Chapin - Remember When - is a definitive collection of Harry Chapin performances of his hits from throughout his short lived career. Harry Chapin continues to be one of the most beloved performers in American music history, a spokesman of the people and poet laureate to cabdrivers, housewives, handymen, watchman, dry cleaners and so many others so often overlooked. This 40-minute special produced by Corridor Group Productions Inc. for PBS will feature unique classic performances of Harry's most important hits and notable songs including: Cats In The Cradle; Taxi; W.O.L.D.; Mr. Tanner; I Want To Learn A Love A Song; All My Life's A Circle; Tangled Puppet; Dreams Go By and others with insightful and personal commentary from Harry's widow, Sandy Chapin (the subject of "I Want To Learn of Love Song" and co-writer of "Cats In The Cradle") and their children Jennifer and Josh. The performances will be presented in the entirety mixed with the brief commentary along with photos and memorabilia. Harry Chapin died in a car accident on Long Island in 1981; he was on his way to perform a benefit concert in support of his charity and desire to feed the hungry - before "Live Aid" and "We Are The World", Harry was the catalyst, chief fundraiser and face of the World Hunger Fund.
