The sons of some of the most eminent men in the country have been entrusted to the exclusive Priory School. But it is a distraught headmaster who turns up at 221b Baker Street because the nine-year-old only son of the wealthy Duke of Holdernesse, has been abducted from the school. Sherlock Holmes is called in to investigate the disappearance.
