Tonight Arizona Illustrated continues its Vote 2008 Forums, highlighting the race for Pima County Sheriff. Host Bill Buckmaster conducts an in-studio interview with Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik and his opponent Harry Shaw. Dupnik, a Democrat, has been the County’s top lawman since 1980 and Shaw, a Republican, is making his first run at public office. This is followed by Christopher Conover’s exclusive interview with Governor Janet Napolitano. The governor gives her insight into the state’s budget shortfall, education, and border and immigration issues. In the final segment, producer Kimberly Craft provides an update on the UA’s new Science and Technology Park, which is already being called one of the nation s premier research centers.
