En cualquier momento hay cerca de 30 mil barcos en el mar. Algunos de ellos llevan pasajeros durante las vacaciones, otros son buques militares. La mayoría de ellos transportan petróleo, pero unos cuantos, más o menos 3,200, son barcos cargueros. Gigantescos monstruos del océano, que permanencen en altamar por semanas y hasta por meses, entregando su carga en todo el mundo, unas veces en famosos puertos y otras en lugares totalmente desconocidos. Estos barcos llevan muchísimas cosas de las que usamos, el 75% de todo el comercio mundial se transporta en buques cargueros. Sabemos que transportan carga a nivel mundial, pero ¿qué es lo que sabemos con respecto a lo que guardan en su interior y cómo funcionan? Acompáñenos a bordo del OOCL Hamburg. Con una longitud de 1000 ft, este buque es más largo que 35 autobuses de doble piso y el tamaño de 3 campos de fútbol.
